Video quality for Gatling Gun
We received the completed movie back from the two labs and it looks great.
Just finished watching the digibeta of Gatling Gun that we received from the labs. Looks great! Colors are nice and vibrant, clarity is great, and there is very little dust or scratches. All in all, the video quality is great.
There were some audio drop outs that we will have our audio engineer work with. We have received a few different video and audio sources from visitors to the site, so we are in great shape to get the movie all pieced together and finished.
Rick is going to compare the video we have with what has been released before. The technician at the Seattle lab thought we had scenes that were not in the samples we sent him to compare the film with, which would be odd. Should be able to have the comparison finished in the next few weeks and know if he was mistaken or if, for some reason, our print inherited some otherwise unused scenes.
Our version has a runtime of just shy of 99 minutes, which seems to match the Italian DVD sent to us. So, it is probably just a human error and is nothing.
We hope to announce a release date for this film within the next 6 - 8 weeks. We will be working with Ryko to see what works for both of our schedules.

Gatling GunMinor website work
Some minor changes to the site are outlined.
Had a chance to work on the website for a bit the other week. Was not able to tack off all of the corrections and changes we wanted for the site, but at least got a few things done.
Comments / Users
The odd bug with comments should be fixed now. You DO need to have a username to leave a comment. As always, usernames are free and we respect your privacy.
Home Page
Speaking of comments, we have altered the home page to show the latest comment on the list of blogs. Should make any future discussions easier to follow.
Store
Had to update the store script to allow presales again. It has been a while since we had a presale item. With the schedule in the next few months though, we should be getting presales on continual basis. As of right now, presale orders will receive free shipping (domestic shipping) on any presale DVD. International orders will have a 2.30 USD discount on shipping.
We DO ship internationally and to our knowledge there are no countries that cannot order off of our website. PLEASE email the webmaster if you have any problems ordering a DVD so we can ensure future orders go smoothly and that you get the product you are wanting.
Any suggestions for the website? Would love to hear any ideas or comments about how we can improve the site.

WebsiteEurospy animated menus
Might be getting a bit of free help next week, probably use it to create some animated menus for some DVDs.
For those who bought the three Eurospies, what did you think of the menus? Was the animation / video and any transitions something that added to, subtracted from, or was of no consequence to the final product.
Before we re-release these films, we are trying to decide whether slightly updating the current menus will be sufficient or if our time would be better suited in creating brand new menus.
I'm slightly biased since I worked on quite a few of those menus. Could they have been better? I would be surprised if there wasn't at least something the crew could have done to make it better.
If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments, etc... leave us a comment.

Updated the "join here" webpages. Hopefully this will make the entire process much easier and more user friendly.
Now the only information you are required to give us is your desired Username and an email address. The only reason we need the email address is to verify you are a real person and not just a web crawling robot that spams.
If you have tried to sign up in the past and found it difficult, and feel like trying again, I encourage you to give the new setup a shot.
Also, it looks like our new web server was having issues with sending out emails. It looks like one out of every two or three were actually sent. We have corrected that problem so now when you sign up you should get the email ok. If you don't, the webmaster can give you that temporary password. Send him a message on the Contact Us page.
Next up on the minor website updates I need to do is to fix up the comment script a little bit. It might have a problem with it at the moment.

WebsiteGatling Gun - Extra Languages
Because our print was cut, all of our dubbed tracks are missing the five minute scene. Which means we can only put English unless we can find someone with an old VHS or better that is not in English..
While it is always a great extra feature to have other languages on disk, for this film we have our hands tied.
The Italian title for this film is Quel caldo maledetto giorno di fuoco. Check out the IMDB page for this film to see the other titles and release dates.
If you have a VHS, bootleg DVD, etc that has an audio track other than English, please contact the production staff. We would love to get this film out rather quickly though, so time is of the essence on this one.
Thanks guys, looking forward to getting this film out there and seeing the response. It is a great film and I'm sure all you Spaghetti Western fans will love it. One of those films that many would consider is a "real" Spaghetti Western, not like some of our fun comedy westerns. Look for this film to be out by the end of the year.

Gatling GunGatling Gun
We have begun working on the artwork for Gatling Gun. Some early production notes for this film.
The caliber of this film is truly top notch. It has a feel to it that you just don't find too often. I obviously enjoyed the film quite a bit.
As is quite irritatingly the case with a lot of films recently, the print for this film had some scenes removed. I've written in the past about how confused and agitated it always makes me feel when we come across this. There seems to be no, even remotely logical, reason for them to do this. It was like the lab back in the seventies and eighties didn't know how to use a VTR deck.
Anyway, we found the negative in a lab in Europe, ordered the missing video and Rick will be previewing that tape sometime in the next two weeks.
We have a pretty decent amount of artwork in house for this film. We have a few theatrical-style posters and a few promotional-style posters. As with any film we release though, we are always open to getting access to more artwork. If you have some art for this film that you think would be useful to us, feel free to send the production crew an email.
We currently have a first draft of our front cover finished, check it out at the pictures page for Gatling Gun. We have scheduled next week for working on the rest of the artwork drafts. If I get some time, I'll upload the artwork we get done on Friday (3-13) afternoon.
